What is Spoke Phone?
Spoke Phone is a complete business phone system and conference calling service, that has been made super simple to use.
What does Spoke Phone do?
Spoke Phone replaces traditional business phone systems, cloud phones, VoIP phone systems, and conference calling services, with a simple app you install on mobile phone and (coming soon) computer.

Spoke Phone has been designed mobile first. This mens that everything is made super simple to use, and you get high-quality calls in the office, out on the road, and all around the world.
Who is Spoke Phone for?
Spoke Phone is made for companies that need more mobility for employees, and better experiences for customers. We have customers with just three employees, and others with 200+ employees in multiple countries.
Can I use desk phones with Spoke
Yes. Being released in August 2019 is support for traditional IP/SIP desk phones.
Can Spoke provide a number for my business?
Yes. As many as you like, including numbers in other regions, states, and countries.
We can provide local, national, and free-phone numbers.
Can I keep my existing business numbers?
Can I take my number back if Spoke does not work for me?
Yes. If you have to leave Spoke, you can take your phone numbers to another provider.
Do I still need a business landline?
Do I still need conference calling, step-down, or other line features?
No. You can cancel all that.
Can we record calls?
Do I still need a mobile phone contract?
Can we use Spoke without a mobile phone or data contract?
Sure. Just use Spoke when on Wi-Fi, or use an old-fashioned desk phone.
Will Spoke work in my region, with my phone provider, and my internet connection?
Yep. Spoke works well on properly configured Wi-Fi, 5G, 4G, and 3G mobile data, and even drops down to carrier voice mode when your data connection is too slow. Spoke works with any phone carrier / network.
How good is Spoke’s call quality?
On 5G, 4G and correctly configured Wi-Fi, Spoke’s call quality is HD quality (High Definition) – better than land lines.
On 3G mobile data, call quality may drop (from HD) to about the quality you expect on a mobile call.
Spoke keeps working down to about 2 bars of 3G.
If you don’t have good WiFi/Data, you can use Spoke in Carrier Mode, where the calls are delivered via your phone’s voice connection, therefore the call quality is the same as normal calls to your phone.
Note: Good call quality for any phone service on Wi-Fi, requires some configuration. We’ll help you.
What if I have slow Wi-Fi and/or data?
By default, Spoke uses WiFi to make and take calls.
If you’re not in WiFi range or have poor WiFi, Spoke can use your phone’s 4G data plan. If you are in a poor phone reception area, (e.g. 3G), you can let Spoke use your carrier minutes.
If you let Spoke use your carrier minutes, Spoke still masks your private phone number and ensures call charges are not placed on your personal phone account.
Can I transfer calls that I get on my mobile?
Yes. Transfer blind (where you just send over the caller to a teammate), or announce then transfer.
How long does porting take, and will my phone number be offline?
Your phone number will keep working and you won’t miss any calls. Once ported, calls will immediately ring on Spoke.
We do all the work to port your numbers, and it takes between 5 and 20 days depending on your current provider.
I’m a small business with a few people, will Spoke work for me?

Why will my employees want to put Spoke on their personal phones?
Employees love their phones, and allowing them to use their phones at work is a benefit.
Spoke has been designed to protect employee privacy and keep company calls of personal phones, so employees can safely use their own phones while at work.
Employees love not having to carry around two phones.

How many lines do we need?
What happens when we're on a call?
Unlike the old telephone lines that are engaged when someone is on a call, you can have 1,000 concurrent calls with just one Spoke number.
Can we have free-phone numbers?
Yes. In your country or most others around the world.
Can we international numbers?
Yes. Can can setup local numbers in 56 countries with one click.
Can we have direct dial numbers?
We’ve got employees overseas, how does it work?
Your employees overseas are no different from employees in your office. They can answer and make calls, you can transfer calls to them, they can be part of teams, calling groups, etc. All they need is WiFi or 4G data. You can now enable a global business phone system without any of the international call costs, setup, or complicated maintenance.
What happens when I travel overseas?
As long as you have WiFi, you will be able to make and takes calls, transfer and have calls transferred to you, all at no additional cost.
A lot of our customers buy a prepaid SIM when they travel, so they can use Spoke on 4G data when they have no WiFi access.
How does pricing work?
Do you offer pricing for non-profits and charities?
Yes. Officially registered charities/non-profits get a 20% discount on listed pricing.

What if I make thousands of calls?
Can I use Spoke for a high-volume call centre?
You can use Spoke to make and take thousands of calls every day, but you will be subject to call charges for inbound and outbound calls, at our normal pay-as-you-go calling rates.
